Structure Of the C.B.A.I.

Members:Approximately

Clubs: Approximately 500 Clubs

Regions: Thirteen Regions divided on geographical lines.

The President: Each region in turn nominates the C.B.A.I. President

The Governing Council: Consists of the honorary officers plus Regional Presidents, Secretaries & County Development Officers. It decides on policy & strategy for the Association.

The Management Committee: Consists of the honorary officers plus regional secretaries of the thiteen regions as well as the immediate past President. Its function is to implement policy & strategy decisions of the Governing Council, to control the day-to-day operational and financial affairs of the association and to appoint sub-committees as deemed necessary.

Sub-Committees: Among those appointed on ongoing basis are, Tournament and Play , which makes recommendations matters relating to the rules of the game, and also is the final appeals committee, Finance which advises the honorary treasurer and management , Teaching which is charged with matters relating to teaching bridge

The Annual General Meeting: Regions elect delegates. Members may attend, speak and vote. Delegate members each have 400 votes, non- delegate members have only one vote.
