7 Rules The CBAI is the official regulator for the recognised game of Contract Duplicate Bridge in this part of the island. As such, any changes to the worldwide rules are passed to us and then to our members. Our organisation has a structure of Regional & National Tournament & Play committees to which any disputed issues that cannot be resolved within your club can be passed for resolution.
8 CBAI Structure The CBAI structure divides the country into thirteen geographical Regions. See our ABOUT link for further details. The key administrator is the Regional Secretary.,Regular meetings are held during the season and you would be most welcome to go along and see how the system works. Clubs are kept informed on all relevant matters by the Regional Secretary, or byCounty Development officers, or directly from CBAI National Headquarters. Equally, you would have direct access to the relevant Regional or National personnel for guidance on any issue.
9 Teachers and Courses The CBAI encourages members to participate in its training courses for bridge teachers and tournament directors at various levels.

12 Bridge Diaries The CBAI diary is produced each year to cover the period from September to the following December twelve months and is exclusive to CBAI members. The diary costs €5, representing exceptional value. And contains the contact details for all the CBAI’s officers, the 1-stop bridge shop and the Irish Bridge Journal.  It provides a full list of all fixtures for the current season and lists all the winners of the previous season’s competitions at National and International Level. The diary also contains a recommended system for beginners and novices, regulations on Laws & Ethics and information on the Irish Bridge Union.
13 The 1-Stop Bridge Shop The CBAI offers to affiliated clubs and members at a very reasonable cost a full range of bridge stationery and books. Price lists for this year will offer a 20% discount to CBAI member clubs on most of the range. You already have received some of our products in the supplies just ordered. On production of C.B.A.I. membership card we offer all members 10% discount on books.

14 Computer Dealt Hands The CBAI offers duplicated computer dealt hands to affiliated Clubs for major competitions at a minimal cost. Paper copies detailing the hands are also available.
15 Membership Cards These are issued in September to all affiliated members and will eventually entitle members to discounted items outside the world of bridge altogether. For example, we expect to be able to offer travel insurance to our members at rates which offer considerable savings and benefits when compared to those available on the open market.
16 Newsletter Annual Newsletters are published and distributed through the bridge clubs.
