This weekend (9-10 April) sees the CBAI national confined championships in the Templeogue Bridge Centre. On Saturday, we have the Lambert Cup (Confined Pairs Championship, for Area Master and Intermediate A grades only), and the JJ Murphy Trophy (National Novice Pairs Championship, for Novice players only), both over two sessions, and starting at 1 p.m. And then on Sunday, we have the Cooper Cup (Confined Teams Championship, for Area Master and Intermediate A grades only), with an 11 a.m. start.
And later in the month, the IBU Seniors Congress will be in the Cavan Crystal Hotel on 26-28 April, with the following competitions:
- Tuesday 26 April Gala Pairs 19:30
- Wednesday 27 April IBU Senior Pairs Championship for the Pat McDevitt Trophy 13:30 (2 sessions with a break), Open Pairs 13:30 and 19:00
- Thursday 28 April IBU Senior Teams Championship 11:00 (2 sessions with a break), Open Pairs 11:00 and 15:00
To be eligible to play in one of the championship events, entrants must have been born during or before 1959. However, the Open Pairs events have no age restrictions.
