The South Eastern region of the CBAI recently took a stand at the annual Bannow & Rathangan Agricultural Show, which was held again after a two-year absence in Killag, Duncormick.
A great day was had by all, the weather was good, and the regional representatives got lots of names of new bridge students wishing to sign up for classes in September. A great start to the National Bridge Promotion agenda within the CBAI. The main promotion week is scheduled from 18-27 August, but if any club or region would like to run a promotion at some other date, to coincide with some significant local event, they are very welcome to do so. The CBAI will provide banners (as in the picture below, which shows a cheerful regional Secretary Oona Dwyer and a serious CDO Jim Doyle at the stand) flyers, promotional pens, cards, etc. Just contact the national promotion co-ordinator, Seamus Costello, on 087-2890814 to book your spot. Given that every club in Ireland will lose members as a result of the pandemic, we urgently need to go about getting some new ones to replace them – the CBAI’s promotion support gives all clubs the ideal opportunity!
