It was great to see a group of schoolchildren from St Gabriel’s National School Stoneybatter visit the Templeogue Bridge Centre last week. They have been learning bridge with one of their teachers, former junior international Aisling Considine, and were delighted to have their first experience of playing in a bridge club. The CBAI also presented them with a pack of freebies – pens, cards, etc, which went down well … but not as well as the chocolate provided by their teachers!

The children loved the afternoon, and we hope to see some of them back at the table as juniors within the Irish system in a few years time. Thanks also to Karel De Raeymaeker and Margaret Murphy from the Junior Committee, and current junior international Phedra Kingston, all of whom came along to lend a hand.
