The CBAI has been asked to draw members’ attention to the following survey, recently issued by Ben Thompson, WBF 1st Vice President and Chair of the WBF’s Marketing & Communications Committee.
The WBF is conducting a survey exploring what types of leisure activities people do and why. The link to the survey is: https://pip.surveymonkey.com/r/DKJW93X. It will not take more than a few minutes to complete.
The survey is aimed primarily at bridge players, and the objective is to assist the WBF to get a better understanding of why different groups of people around the world like and play bridge, and how bridge compares to the other activities that bridge players and potential bridge players enjoy. This information will help administrators, teachers and promoters design better ways to get people into bridge, and to stay in bridge.
Health warning: some people have found the format of the survey unsatisfying, mainly in relation to the list of alternative hobbies and pursuits offered, and the difficulty of shoehorning the missing items into the “Other” category.
