The Confined Regional Master Pairs and Teams competitions were held in Templeogue over the weekend, the second running of this new set of competitions. Entry levels were well up on the previous year in both pairs and teams, and both competitions were ably directed by Huey Daly. The winners were:
- Pairs: 1st Place – Konstantin Rabkin & Evgenia Gladysheva; 2nd Place – Paul Kane & Paula Heaphy; 3rd Place – Noel Bradfield & John Lyons
- Teams: 1st Place – Pam Harrington, Eamon Martin Jnr, Noel Bradfield, John Lyons; 2nd Place – Helen Friel, Philip Robinson, Konstantin Rabkin, Evgenia Gladysheva; 3rd Place – Brendan Toale, Ann Tuite, Willy Clingan, Brigid Sheehy

The weekend also saw the trials to select two teams to represent Ireland in the Teltscher Trophy (Senior Camrose) in Gormanstown in May. The winning team, which will represent Ireland in the Teltscher Trophy, was BJ O’Brien, Ranald Milne, Pádraig Ó Briain, Micheál Ó Briain, Peter Goodman, and Terry Walsh, while the runners-up, who will represent the CBAI, were Pat Quinn, Donal Garvey, Gay Keaveney, and Enda Glynn, who have added Paul Porteous and Fred Barry to complete a team of six for the Teltscher. Well done and best of luck to both teams, and thanks to Brian Lawlor for directing the trials.
