The 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held virtually over Zoom on Saturday 3 July, at 14:00.

In light of the public health restrictions currently in place, and the limitations of the technology available to us, unfortunately this year’s event of necessity will be different to the normal CBAI AGM. In particular, while members of the Association are welcome to attend, the places available to them will be limited, and will be allocated strictly on a first come, first served basis.

The Officers of the Association, including our incoming President, Pat O’Mahony, representing the South Munster Region, will be present at a hotel in Cork. They will be socially distanced, and will participate in the meeting via Zoom. The remaining regional delegates will participate from their homes, also via Zoom. Any other member wishing to attend should call the CBAI office on (01) 4929666, and request a Zoom link for the meeting, which will be provided subject to the maximum number of attendees not being exceeded. We regret the complexity of the procedures for the meeting, but we are sure that members will appreciate that circumstances are beyond our control this year.

in conjunction with the AGM, incoming President Pat O’Mahony will hold a charity bridge game on BBO, starting at 19:30. The beneficiary is the Children’s Leukaemia Association at Mercy Hospital Cork. Diarmuid Reddan will direct, and there will be two sections – one for Novices/Intermediate Bs and one for Intermediate As/Masters. Each game will cost BB$5, and everyone is welcome. If you can’t play but would like to make a donation to the charity, that can be done by calling the CBAI office on (01) 4929666. We can take payment by credit/debit card and pass it on to South Munster for inclusion in the donation.
