The first CBAI event of the new season is the Duais an Uachtaráin (President’s Prize), hosted by CBAI President Pat O’Mahony and the South Munster Region in Cork Marts, just outside Fermoy, on Saturday 17 September, starting at 12 noon. This is a very comfortable venue, with ample parking, and food will be available. The Eircode for the venue is P61 EE37.
This season the competition will be held over two sessions rather than the usual three, to avoid the need for an overnight stay. Our online entry system is currently down for maintenance. We had hoped that it would be back in action in time for the Duais, but unfortunately that is not the case. To enter, just email your own name and your partner’s name to info@cbai.ie before 1:00 p.m. on Friday 16 September, and we’ll take it from there. All entries will be acknowledged, so if you don’t get a reply, we have not received your entry for some reason, so please try again. The entry fee will be €20 per person payable on the day, by cash only.
And if you are eligible to play in our international trials (more than 100 National Points), then a quick reminder that the closing dates for two sets of trials are coming up – entries for the Camrose Trials close on September 16, and entries for the Lady Milne Trials close on September 30, at 5:00 p.m. in both cases. To enter, please either email your team’s details to info@cbai.ie as above, or call us on (01) 4929666. Entries after these dates will be accepted only at the discretion of the International Committee, and no guarantees can be offered in that regard.
We hope that you will be able to join CBAI President Pat O’Mahony for his Duais and to get the new season off in style.
