A weekend off bridge domestically, but Irish players will be in action across the water in the Spring Fours, one of the EBU’s most prestigious, and demanding, events.
Five of the current Irish Open Team, supplemented by rising star Conor Boland and their usual NPC Grainne Barton, will be taking part (John Carroll, Nick FitzGibbon, Tom Hanlon, Adam Mesbur, and Mark Moran). And Peter Pigot and Ciarán Coyne from the CBAI will be competing with Ian Hamilton from Northern Ireland and Angus McDonald from Scotland. You’ll find a full list of the entrants here; there are a LOT of very well-known names, and it will take a huge effort to go anyway deep in the competition.
