No joy for the Irish team in the Lady Milne Trophy, we are sorry to report. The team never really recovered from a slow start, and finished in fourth place.
Congratulations to the winners, the EBU (the second English team, which is their honour as hosts of the event) which finished just ahead of England. This continues England’s recent dominance of the home international series. They have a clean sweep thus far this season, with only the Teltscher Trophy (Senior Camrose) still to come. This will be hosted by the CBAI in May (16-18), so we will have two teams, each of which will be doing their utmost to break the English sweep. If England does win the Teltscher, then they will have won all five home international events for each of the past three years. The last non-English victories were by Scotland in 2022 (Lady Milne and Teltscher) and by Ireland in 2021 (Teltscher).
