Best of luck to the fourteen pairs competing in the new Pre-Qualifier trials being held in the Templeogue Bridge Centre on 24/25 September. These trials are a new innovation suggested by the International Committee, aimed at players who do not have quite enough Masterpoints to enter the standard trials, and we are very pleased to see such a good entry. The weekend’s results will see two pairs combine to go forward as a team for the Lady Milne Trials, and two for the Camrose Trials. Play starts at 13:30 on Saturday, and will continue (with a meal break from 17:00 to 19:00) until around 21:45, and will run from 10:00 to 14:30 on Sunday. Kibitzers are welcome, subject to the usual rules, you’ll find full details of the entrants and their systems here, and the results will be uploaded here. Good luck to all the contestants!
