Congratulations to the winners of the Preliminary Trials held in Templeogue over the weekend of 10/11 August.
As it transpired, the overall winners, Hugh MacDermott & Denis Mortell, are unable to take their place in the Camrose Trials due to an unanticipated schedule clash. The team for those trials is thus the second and third placed pairs, Rosaleen Glasheen & Neil Breheny and John Flavin & Donal O’Keeffe. The pairs making up the team for the Lady Milne trials are Kay Clement & Marie Whyte and Betty Cody & Una O’Gorman. Each team may add a suitably qualified third pair, if they wish, for their trials. They also win coaching from a local expert player of their choice, to be arranged after they have played in the subsequent trials. Well done to the winners, and thanks to all who took part, and to our TD, Brian Lawlor, who made sure everything went smoothly over the weekend.
