If you can’t make it down to Tralee, you can keep an eye on the Irish Open Team, plus Frederic Volker of France, representing Team Ireland in the prestigious Lederer Trophy in London. They will have their work cut out in a high-class field; their opening match will give them a practice run against five of the six players who will make up the English team to oppose them in the second weekend of the Camrose Trophy the following weekend. The Lederer will be broadcast on BBO (and the Camrose will be broadcast on RealBridge, and you’re also more than welcome to come out to watch in person – the venue is the City North Hotel in Gormanstown).
