A reminder that the final event of the 2023/24 season, the Yeats Country (Sligo) Online Charity Congress, will take place on BBO over the weekend of 7-9 June, with evening events for all grades on all three days. Last season’s congress raised more than €3,000 for deserving charities, so please support the congress, and organiser Fearghal O’Boyle who does so much for bridge in Ireland, if you can. The CBAI’s AGM will take place in the Hilton Hotel Malahide (Northern Cross) on Saturday 6 July, at 2 p.m., and all members are welcome to attend. There will be the traditional game of bridge afterwards, also for charity, for anyone who wishes to play. The deadline for resolutions (“motions”) for the AGM has now passed, and none have been received.
